The Ibero-American University Network of Territory and Mobility (RUITEM), is a joint collaboration project between working groups from the Iberian Peninsula and Latin America, created in 2004.
RUITEM aims to promote areas of research and development related to the territory, the municipality and infrastructures, with a broad, integrating and transversal approach, between University-Business-Administration.
RUITEM members are representatives in the different Universities, without the need to assume any type of economic or administrative commitment, bound only by their willingness to participate and without any profit motive.
The venue of the XV International Ruitem Forum will be at National Labour Promotion located at Via Laietana 32 – 34.
The XIII Assembly and XII RUITEM International Forum “Green Economy: Environment, Infrastructure and Sustainable Tourism” that took place in Havana on 23 February 2017 was a success in every way.
Apart from the large attendance and the presentations, it generated good prospects for the future, such as the agreement of the Technological University of Havana (CUJAE) with CANARAGUA-Aguas de La Habana and RUITEM, as well as agreements with other RUITEM universities.
The XII RUITEM International Forum was organised by RUITEM, the Public Administration Network of the Centre for Public Administration Studies of the University of Havana and the Environment Network of the Directorate of Science and Technology of the MES, and constituted a space for exchange on disaster reduction and environmental care in Cuba, the impact of tourism on the health of the inhabitants of coastal communities, real estate pressure, tourism and the conciliation of interests, and the relationship between public administration and development, among other issues.
Several universities joined RUITEM at the 13th Assembly, including the Technological University of Havana (CUJAE), the University of Cartagena and the Centre for Higher Studies of Veracruz.
