V International Congress on Local Development

The 29th, 30th, 31st and 1st of November at the University of Cartagena (San Agustin campus) through its Faculty of Social Sciences and Education, and the University of Huelva – Spain, in collaboration with the Ibero-American University Network of Territory and Mobility (RUITEM) and the Institute of Regional Public Policy and Governance (IPREG), convene the V International Congress on Local Development to be held in the city of Cartagena – Colombia, from 29 October to 1 November 2019. 

This congress, in its 5th version, is an excellent scenario for the exchange of experiences between academics, planners, politicians, specialists and managers of local development, with innovative and transdisciplinary approaches, to understand the geodiversity and learn from successful experiences of local development, facts that justify the motto of the congress: “socio-economic systems with territorial anchors”. At the same time, to promote the debate on the possibilities of piloting and empowering, from the local level, community development in a global world.

 

The event will be hosted by the University of Cartagena, at the San Agustin Campus, located in the Historic and Colonial Centre of the city, and will be attended by national and international experts from Latin America and Europe.
